On June 25, 2021, ACEG Road and Bridge Engineering Company Limited - one of ACEG’s subsidiaries – a professional contractor of road and bridge engineering and construction, announced its success in the erection of the first steel box girder for the main cloverleaf intersection bridge across Jinzhai Road – a node work composing a part of the on-going Unimpeded Second Ring Road Project in Hefei, the capital city of East China’s Anhui province, and soon after, the rest 25 steel box girders of the main span across Hezuohua Road have also been erected.
Technologically speaking, the erection of the steel box girders of the node works are considered the top difficult part of the whole project, with features of the most complex technology and the greatest construction difficulties and the highest degree of risks. It has been designed for the multi-deck interchanges and the upper span of the new overpass bridge are to connect the off-ramps and on ramps both from the north to the south and from the north to the east.
Facing the pressure of the time limit of the contract schedule and the operational works and as well as the traffic, all the staff of the project have taken the initiative to scientifically organize the traffic and refined the construction plans and made full preparations of manpower and material resources and coordinated with the owner, the supervisor, the traffic police and other units relevant, and invited them to visit the working site many times and analyzed the key and difficult points of the construction, and furthermore, they applied BIM+GIS simulation technology to carry out the scientific and accurate construction to ensure the safety of the construction and minimize the impact on the traffic at the same time.
The completion of this task has greatly promoted the progress of the whole project and laid a solid foundation for the goal of opening to the traffic at an early date and with good qualities.
